1 Departures and arrivals place Gambetta in front of the quay at Vannes.

2 Passage through the "St Vincent" door (XVIIIth century).

3 The place des Lices.

4 The "Poterne" door and onthe left : the wonderfull washhouses.

5 The ramparts of the old town.

6 The french gardens.

7 The administration center for the country of Morbihan, Louis XIII style - built in the XIXth century.

8 Return to the old town by the Prison door.
This doorway is called so, after the french Revolution.It was a remarquable example of a fortified door, and it works with a double drawbridge mechanism.

9The cathedral of Vannes, built in granit is a composite edifice. Most of it dates from the 15th and 16th centuries (nave and north transept)
The north tower is the vestige of a roman edifice, the vaults and the chancel date from the XVIIth century and the face from 1857.

10 Vannes and his wife : A granit sculpture decorates a prestigeous building from the XVIth century. Local traditions have baptised these two jovial caracters "Vannes and his wife".
